Pearson VUE is certificated to the following management systems, which are audited annually and fully recertified every three years:
Pearson VUE achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard on May 1st 2009 for our UK head office in Manchester. This standard provides assurance that:
· We comply with environmental legislation.
· We continuously improve our impact on the environment.
· We have a site-specific environmental policy that changes when we do.
· We manage external communication to everyone’s satisfaction.
· We train relevant staff in environmental procedures to deal with emergencies e.g. a chemical spillage.
· We make staff aware of environmental issues and procedures.
· We monitor and audit ourselves on a regular basis.
The work does not end on achievement of the Standard though, as it is a process of continuous improvement, maintenance and project work which will lead to carbon savings and a better interaction with our environment.
Pearson VUE achieved the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Standard in 2005. This Standard provides assurance about the ability to satisfy quality requirements and enhances customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships. In 2011, Pearson VUE was successful in gaining recertification to the ISO 9001 Standard. We are currently certified by Société Générale de Surveillance and our certificate number is GB 12/86596.
Pearson VUE achieved the BS 7799-2 Information Security System Standard in 2005; and in January 2007 we successfully transitioned this to the new International Standard ISO/IEC 27001. This Standard provides assurance about the ability to adequately protect information assets. In 2011, Pearson VUE was successful in gaining recertification to the ISO 27001 Standard. We are currently certified by Société Générale de Surveillance and our certificate number is GB 12/86597.
Pearson VUE achieved the BS 25999 Business Continuity Management System Standard in April, 2009. This Standard provides assurance about the ability to meet stakeholder requirements for recovering and continuing key business products and services during an incident or disruption affecting normal business operations. In 2012, Pearson VUE was successful in gaining recertification to the BS 25999-2 Standard. We are currently certified by Société Générale de Surveillance and our certificate number is GB 12/86598.
Pearson VUE follows the Code of Practice for the use of Information Technology (IT) in the delivery of assessments. This Code of Practice provides the framework for the use of information technology in delivering assessments to candidates and in recording and scoring their responses.
Customer Contact Association (CCA) Global Accreditation
In addition to ISO 9001, our business also achieved the CCA Best Practice Framework in January 2006, which is a set of industry recognised standards to promote high quality business practice within customer contact centres. This is audited annually and reassessed fully every 3 years. In 2012, Pearson VUE was successful in gaining recertification to the CCA Global Framework.

Customer Service Excellence Accreditation
The Customer Service Excellence standard tests, in great depth, areas that research has indicated are a priority for customers, with particular focus on delivery, timeliness, information, professionalism and staff attitude. There is also emphasis placed on developing customer insight, understanding the user’s experience and robust measurement of service satisfaction. The standard replaces the previous Government Charter Mark. The business was accredited to the framework in April 2010; with annual audits completed and a full reassessment every 3 years.
