   Basic Description and Role Objective
   
  • Growing the Pearson VUE (and PA&T) revenues within existing, named Clients.
     
  • Ensuring that the pre-identified and agreed Client sales targets are continually achieved.
     
  • Effective commercial and relationship management of existing Clients on an ongoing basis with the aim of growing revenue.
  •

       Key Responsibilities
     
  • Act as the PVUE representative to each Client and as the Client’s representative inside Pearson.
     
  • Deliver value to Clients by supporting the achievement of their business objectives.
     
  • Maintain and enhance the reputation of Pearson VUE (PVUE) as the leading electronic testing services provider.
     
  • Being highly responsive to Client needs.
     
  • Understand and resolve all Client concerns.
     
  • Effectively communicate with other internal resources that have an influence & impact on the achievement of the above activities.

  •    Key Tasks
     
  • Maintain regular senior Client management contact.
     
  • Ensure that the pre-identified and agreed Client sales targets are achieved or exceeded.
     
  • Arrange and execute quarterly business reviews with existing clients.
     
  • Proactively partner, brainstorm and strategize with each Client in order to maximise the value of the services delivered by PVUE and PA&T.
     
  • Collaborate to build a team environment within PVUE enabling the full value of PA&T to be delivered in business development initiatives.
     
  • Proactively communicate with other internal resources that have an influence and impact on the achievement of the above duties and responsibilities.
     
  • Ensure timely completion of objectives, reviews, reporting and administration, as required.
     
  • Maintain organisation charts and account plans for each Client.
     
  • Support other business and market development activities as required.

       Essential Skills
     
  • Educated to degree level.
     
  • A strong Client-facing service delivery track record.
     
  • Able to demonstrate three years of experience in the Public Sector or Financial Services market in at least one of the following areas:
      • E-learning services and applications.
      • E-assessment services and applications.
      • IT outsourcing/managed services. 
  • A consultative, cross-functional approach to Client engagement.
     
  • Commercially and technically astute - experienced in costing, solution development and in revenue forecasting
     
  • PC, internet and new technology savvy.
     
  • Fully fluent in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
     
  • Personally well organised with an attention to detail.
     
  • Pragmatic and common sense approach to problem solving.
     
  • Ability to work well with others in a geographically disparate team.
     
  • Resilience and the ability to deal confidently with senior Client staff.
     
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
     
  • Able to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
  •    Preferred skills
     
  • A further business qualification would be desirable e.g. MBA.
     
  • Intellectually inquisitive with an aptitude and desire to extend knowledge across other educational and learning subject areas.
     
  • Experience of the UK educational services market.
     
  • Experience of the IT services market.
     
  • An understanding of the assessment and testing business in general and the products and solution offering of Pearson VUE, Edexcel and PA&T in particular.
  •    Working Arrangements
     
  • Normal working hours.
     
  • Some flexibility with regard to UK travel is required.
     
  • Occasional long hours when completing tender/RFP responses.
