Staff Testimonials

I originally joined Pearson in 2006 as HR Administrator on a Fixed Term Contract for 2 months. Through my own personal experience I can say Pearson is a great employer and that they invest in their staff. Since joining Pearson they have supported my studies towards gaining a CIPD qualification and have developed me through the roles of HR Co-ordinator and more recently as HR Advisor, needless to say I am now a permanent employee!

My responsibility within this role involves providing Technical support to the EMEA region. Over the last 2 ½ years I have been promoted twice.

I enjoy working for Pearson for multiple reasons, primarily the satisfaction I get from helping others and seeing how people progress within their own roles through my support. The office atmosphere is professional yet friendly, and my team is always willing to help others and effectively improve the service Pearson VUE offers.

Pearson offers many benefits such as Professional Training, Travelling, Health Schemes and Pension. The salaries are at the high end of the scale compared to similar jobs and opportunity to progress higher in the company is always a possibility.

After trying to take early retirement twice and finding it did not suit me, I applied for a job as a Customer Service Specialist. The job advert had caught my attention “Work to Live, not Live to Work”, which completely summed up my approach to life. My previous experience was in business, sales and running my own company with no exposure to a customer services environment, however the training and the management support has been excellent which has enabled me to flourish. The benefits package in place also is a great reason to work for Pearson VUE.

Hi I’m Nicola Devine and I work both as a Test Centre Administrator in the Motherwell PPC (Pearson Professional Centre) and as a Regional Training Representative for the Scottish Region.

It has been an exciting time for me since I joined Pearson VUE under a TUPE transfer in September 2004 and as Pearson VUE has successfully grown, my role as a TCA has grown too. With every new Client and with each new exam to be delivered, every day is different.

In 2007 I successfully achieved a new position as a Regional Training Representative. This role has given me lots of new experiences out with my own centre, with visits to The Lighthouse and to other PPCs'. It has also given me the opportunity to create new training documents for the Network and to have an input into our Policies and Procedures.

For me the best part of both jobs is the opportunity to meet and to speak to new people.

I joined Pearson VUE in August 2004 as Contact Centre Trainer for Computer Based Testing and progressed into the role of Team Leader two years ago.

Pearson VUE provides great opportunities to develop and progress within the business. This coupled with the excellent benefits package and dynamic, friendly environment makes Pearson VUE a great place to work!

I joined Pearson VUE two and a half years ago, and to date I have experienced a challenging and enjoyable role within Finance. My day to day responsibilities give me access to all areas of the business. I have regular contact with departments across both VUE and the wider Pearson entities.

From my own perspective, I believe Pearson VUE is a great place in which to develop and nurture my career. The nature of the business means that no two days are the same, and there's always something else to add to my list of experiences. I have also been fortunate to see colleagues as they grow their own careers with VUE, and I'm sure I speak for them when I say it is a supportive and encouraging working environment.
