Testing to take place across 16 centres on 5 May 2012
NEW DELHI, 12 APRIL 2012 – More than 50 law colleges across India now recognise the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)—India, providing successful candidates with a wide range of colleges to pursue careers in law.
The test, which is conducted globally by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), assesses critical-thinking skills, logical reasoning, problem-solving skills and traits that are needed for a successful career in law.
The number of colleges recognising the LSAT—India has increased by over 60% in the past year, with the test fast becoming a preferred measure for selecting aspiring professionals.
On 5 May 2012, Pearson VUE – the computer-based testing business of Pearson – will deliver the LSAT—India from 16 highly secure test centres across the country.
Dan Bernstine, President, Law School Admission Council, said: “The increase in the acceptance of the LSAT—India shows that Indian law colleges are recognising the test’s value as a scientifically-based measurement tool for law school admission and success.”
