International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certification Testing

The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is a worldwide professional organization dedicated to fostering a greater appreciation for trees and to promoting research, technology, and the professional practice of arboriculture.

Applying For Your Examinations

Apply for an ISA examination. Application vetting can take up to five business days from date of application (at each iteration). ISA sends applicants a response regarding their eligibility and, when applicable, enrollment next steps.

Scheduling Your Examinations

Please log in to your ISA account to begin the enrollment process. You may also enroll by calling ISA customer service at +1.678.367.0981. You will be notified via e-mail when your enrollment has been processed (within 24-48 hours) and receive instructions on how to schedule a location, date and time with Pearson VUE.

If circumstances change after you have applied for the examination, you may be able to reschedule your exam or request an additional 90-day authorization period. If your request is approved by ISA, a fee of $50 USD will apply to make the change. If you are requesting to reschedule a computer-based exam within your current 90-day authorization period, you will not be subject to the fee.

ISA does not provide refunds for exam enrollments. There are no exceptions to this policy.

ISA administers examinations throughout the year in testing centers located throughout the globe. Please find a test center near you. You can also take a virtual tour of a Pearson VUE test center.

Preparing for Your ISA Examinations

Day of Your Test

To enter the testing facility, you must present two forms of identification (ID).The first form of ID is a valid photo ID card (e.g., passport, driver’s license) and the second form is a valid ID card displaying your signature (e.g., social security card, credit and ATM cards that contains a signature). Both forms of ID must include your name printed and your signature. Please note that the first and last name submitted as part of your application and exam enrollment to ISA must match the first and last name on the IDs that you present at the testing facility.
