LONDON, UK, January 14, 2019 – The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has entered into a multi-year agreement with Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing (CBT), to move its global Certificate exams from paper-based to computer-based.
The partnership marks the transition to CBT for the following IRM certificates: Digital Risk Management Certificate from November 2019, International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management, and International Certificate in Financial Services Risk Management from June 2020. Enrollment for the Digital Risk Management Certificate is now open and candidates can sit the exam at a local Pearson Professional or Pearson VUE test center anywhere in the world.
Dr. Ian Livsey, Chief Executive of the Institute of Risk Management, said “Pearson VUE is an excellent partner for providing secure test delivery in a professional testing environment”. “The partnership will allow our candidates to move from paper and pencil to computer-based testing, making the exams more accessible and providing faster results. We look forward to growing our programs with the Pearson VUE delivery system.”
Bob Whelan, president of Pearson Assessments, said: “CBT provides the undeniable benefit of quicker turnaround for results, and we know the Institute of Risk Management will see an improved testing experience for candidates in our secure environment. The IRM certificates are ideal for our reach into 180 countries as they offer universal relevance for risk management in any sector around the world.”
