Evaluation Systems of Pearson has been awarded the Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (
GACE) contract
— Georgia’s state-approved educator certification assessment program.
As part of the agreement, Evaluation Systems will work closely with the State of Georgia and Georgia educators to develop new innovations in test delivery and test development, driving further progress for educators in Georgia's public schools.
“HB 538 (2023), the Georgia Early Literacy Act, requires GACE assessments to be aligned with the science of reading, measuring different levels of knowledge and application appropriate for the preparation field. We are very confident Evaluation Systems will do a stellar job in not only ensuring this alignment, but also utilizing customized test and program innovations and services,” commented Matt Arthur, Executive Secretary, Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).

The Professional Standards Commission was created by the Georgia General Assembly in 1991 to assume full responsibility for the preparation, certification, and professional conduct of certified personnel employed in public schools across Georgia.
